After a 2 year break the Leadership Stockton program is back! This year’s class will be the 40th in the programs storied history and I can’t tell you how excited I am to kick off the class on August 12th.
Since the first class in 1981-82 Leadership Stockton has produced over 920 graduates in our community. Each year a new cohort of emerging leaders grows their understanding of the community and their ability to be effectively engaged as citizen leaders. Our community has benefited greatly with all of new leaders who are knowledgeable and committed to positive change. Employers have gained by increasing their visibility and by having their staff members apply new skills to the workplace, establish new and helpful business relationships, and engage more fully in the community.
Each year we continue to seek out opportunities to improve and enhance California’s oldest and most successful community leadership program. We can only be successful with your help and continued support of Leadership Stockton.
As you can see below the program has great community support from businesses/organizations (with LS graduates) and a few wonderful Friends of Leadership Stockton who have been loyal to the Leadership Program, but there is always room for more!
As a Leadership Stockton graduate (LS Class of 2008) and the Program Director since 2009, I have seen the impact of this program first hand. Not just in the amazing annual community service projects, but in the people. So many graduates have used the things they learned and connections they have made to solve local problems, address issues, and fill needs in the community. I am so proud of all the alumni that continue to do the hard work and make a difference in our community. Being a successful leader is all about building up those around you. So I encourage you to support the Leadership Stockton program in any way you can. Be that through a monetary donation, or just the donation of your time and talent to the current class, alumni, and the community as a whole.
I hope to see you all at a Leadership Stockton event this year. If you need any additional information, please contact me at (209) 292-8423, firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.LeadershipStockton.com.
Thank you for your continued support of the Leadership Stockton program.
