The Green Team is actively involved with business leaders, community leaders and others to increase the awareness of available resources, programs and incentives to assist them in reducing the cost of doing business.

We will also have sub-committee updates on issues impacting our manufactures, industrial and distribution members. As always, your input is vital to addressing those issues in advancing commerce in Stockton, San Joaquin County and the State of California.  

We will hear from Sofia Torres, Regional Manager, Central Valley Rising Sun Center for Opportunity. Rising Sun is a non-profit organization working at the intersection of economic equity and climate resilience across the Bay Area counties and Stockton. Their youth workforce development program, Climate Careers, offers a no-cost service, the Green House Call (GHC) to local Stockton households. A GHC consists of an energy audit, water audit, and the installation of energy and water-saving devices such as LED lightbulbs, showerheads, bathroom faucet aerators, smart powerstrips, and more. Climate Careers employs local youth Energy Specialists, ages 15-24 from low-income households, to perform these audits and installations.
